The next moment the second brother stood helpless with all his knowledge and prosperity gone.
The saint finally went to the house of the youngest brother. “I am very hungry and extremely tired. There is a cold wind blowing. Soon it will be night. Could I find shelter under your roof ?” the saint cried. A man came out of the house on hearing the voice of the saint. “Why, sure you will find shelter for the night. Lucky indeed is the person who has a guest visiting him”, the young man said, at the same time holding the door open for the saint to enter.
The young man and his wife took good care of the guest. The poor man was treated with warmth and kindness. The saint was very pleased with the young man and his wife. He revealed his identity to the couple. The couple bowed to him.
The saint expressed his happiness at their virtuous6 conduct and blessed them.
