He was astonished3 to see that Babuji Maharaj was sleeping on the other side of the table fan. Babuji Maharaj had turned the table fan entirely towards the abhyasi and himself was happily sleeping without the fan in the hot summer.
He was totally concerned with the comfort and happiness of the abhyasi in such a natural way, that he was not bothered at all about the discomfort of heat caused to himself. The abhyasi felt overwhelmed4 with this loving act of Babuji Maharaj.
That is how Masters are. Their care and concern for fellow beings is so natural that the situations and surroundings do not affect them in showering this loving care, even at the cost of their own discomfort. It does not even occur to them that they are sacrificing for the other, as they consider the other as their own.
It is seamlessly5 natural for them to be concerned about others’ happiness all the time - Parahita. As we see in this anecdote, Pujya Babuji Maharaj’s concern for the comfort of the abhyasi, was not affected by the intense heat which would have caused Him discomfort too. Just like a mother’s natural tendency is to care for the child, not minding her own discomfort, he cared for the abhyasi without worrying about himself.
