Mukesh was contemplating1 on the real value of the magical apples. But he could not think of anything. He then said, “Father has said it so it must be right. I will share the apple with everyone in the house and carefully plant the seeds in the backyard.” So Mukesh shared the apple with everyone at home. Then he took the seeds and planted them in the backyard. After this they went to the fair. The next morning, when they woke up they did not see the sun. They went to the backyard and they were surprised to see two apple trees full of apples. One tree had red apples. This was the tree planted by Mukesh and one tree had green apples. This tree came from seeds which Suresh had simply thrown. Now they remembered why their father said that they were magical apples. The seeds grew to trees in a short period of one night. Their father saw the apple trees and said “See, now you can share what I gave you with many people.” Mukesh plucked the red apples from his tree and gave it to everyone. They were very sweet apples. Suresh plucked one apple from his tree and ate it himself first. The apple was very sour. He could not eat it at all. Then his father came to him and said, “See, you never tried to think of how you can share your fruit with others yesterday, so even the magical tree gave you apples which you cannot share nor can eat by yourself. Mukesh thought about sharing first and with that thought he planted his magical seed. See the fruits of his tree.”
Suresh understood his folly2. He thought, “Yes, I should have shared and not thrown the magical seeds carelessly.” His father then said, “If you think of sharing what you have, you will always be able to share better,s of whatever you have.”
