It was getting really late and Shweta’s parents wanted her to be in the class picture. The dress they picked for Shweta the previous day was a nice one. It had a pretty bow in the middle with pink and yellow ribbons at the back. But Shweta wanted to wear a T-shirt and Jeans and refused to wear the dress. Ram and Lalita decided to let her wear whatever she wanted as it was getting really late.
Ram and Shweta said their goodbye to Lalita and Saketh. Ram drove as fast as he could. But the traffic was so bad that it took them a while before they reached school. They rushed3 to the assembly hall where the class picture was being taken.
But when they got there, they found that the hall was empty except for the photographer who was packing his bags. Ram asked the photographer ‘Is the picture already taken?.’ The photographer replied, “Yes, the picture is taken and can be seen in a week or two”. Shweta was really sad and started to cry. “ I really wanted to be in the picture, father”.
Ram knew the picture cannot be taken again with everyone. He hugged Shweta and wiped her tears. Then he said, “Shweta dear, if you had only obeyed4 what we said and listened to us, we could have reached the place early and have you in the picture. Now you have to wait a whole year to take the picture again”.
