One day in the woods a little rose plant sprouted beneath a banyan tree and the banyan was
overjoyed. She was a kind tree. All the other trees were her friends. Indeed, all around the banyan, the other trees flourished, for she enriched1 the soil with special nutrients2 and the little rose was very lucky to have the banyan, like having a grandmother.
The banyan tree also protected her from the bitter hot sun (for the banyan herself wasn't afraid of the Sun) and shielded3 her from the cold wind.
Day by day the little rose grew and eventually she turned into a slim, pink beauty and she no longer needed her grandmother banyan tree.
Just the opposite, now the rose treated her old grandmother to a show of gorgeous4 colours: her beautiful red and pink flowers, her green and shiny spring dress. The banyan had never worn such a fancy dress, for she never had time to spend on dressing up.
