Banyan called her friend wind and told him the situation. Together they made a plan. So the next day when the king’s gardener came to uproot the rose plant, suddenly a very strong wind started blowing. As the strong wind blew through the leaves and giant trunk of the banyan tree, it made a very terrifying howling9 sound.
Slowly all other trees in the surrounding area joined the banyan tree. Seeing the giant banyan tree swaying side-to-side, making a big howling sound and all other trees doing the same, royal gardener got very frightened10. They thought that there are ghosts on these trees and they are after them.
They all ran away from there as fast as they could. In the haste to run away from that place they even left their belongings there. They swore never to come back to that place ever again. Rose plant was saved. It realized its mistake and also the generosity11 of banyan and other trees. It promised to live in harmony with all others and never be arrogant12 again.
