The Unwise Traveler
A traveler once came to a large plain during his journey. Having trekked for long in the sun, he was thoroughly tired. Profusely perspiring, he sat under a tree to take rest.
The traveler was not aware but the tree under which he sat was a wish-granting tree.
He thought how nice it would be to have a bed and a pillow to rest. Lo! Immediately, a nice comfortable bed and pillow appeared near him. The traveler was very pleased.
Soon he realized that his legs were aching. He thought, how nice it would be if some one can massage his legs and feet. Immediately, there appeared a young person and started massaging his legs and feet.
After some time the traveler thought how nice it would be if he can get some good food and coconut water. Lo Behold! Right in front of him, he saw a feast laid out. The young man started serving food to the traveler.
Now the traveler was extremely happy and felt satisfied. However he started thinking what if a tiger were to come and eat me.
No sooner did he think then a tiger appeared out of nowhere and killed the traveler.
Moral: If you think or wish, think or wish good.
